EV Design: Spreadsheet Templates for Excel - Version 1.1

You can use these design templates for designing electric car conversions if you have Excel version 4 for the Macintosh or Excel for Windows version 4. I have not tested the spreadsheets under DOS but they should work there as well. 

The spreadsheets perform calculations to determine the torque available from a selected motor and battery pack, and the torque required to drive a given car model at different speeds. Data for a selection of motors are included. Users are encouraged to use the spreadsheets along with a copy of Bob Brant's book, "Build Your Own Electric Vehicle".

The "AboutEV.doc" file is a Word for Windows version 2 file and can be read by Word for Macintosh version 5. Again I have not tested this file with other versions of Word. "AboutEV.doc" contains a short description of the spreadsheets and their use.
